Yet, it is available for $290, over a $50 savings over the IKEA brand.

On the other side of the price spectrum, you could choose the West Elm bed frame with storage. It is similar in design and functionality to the Prepac Manhattan Queen, with the significant difference being the bed uses heavy pine wood rather than melanine. The West Elm model is made of dark pine, uses slat support, and has six built in drawers. However, it will set you back $1399 as compared to the $290 model. While some people will consider the extra $1100 a good investment in a bed they may keep for decades, others value the look of the item at a more inexpensive price over a stronger material. Perhaps because of this, the lowest priced item amongst the three has received the best reviews in customer satisfaction surveys. Whatever you choose, the feeling you get from a piece of furniture and its ability to serve the purpose you seek is far more important than price tag or reputation.
