A Tall Bed Frame Maximizes Storage... What's Hiding Under Your Bed?

Are you using the space under your bed?   Plenty of people either forget or ignore the space under their beds.  If you need extra storage space then the space under your bed could be quite useful, and to maximize that space you could consider a tall bed frame.   Maybe you don't really care about the space under your bed for storage but you just want more of a luxurious feel to your bed.   As far as style is concerned, tall bed frames will definitely add some splendor to your bed.  

Whether you are interested in the style of your bed or the storage space under it, you should consult your budget first before you decide what you need.   Even though a tall bed frame will accomplish both aesthetic and functional goals, it's sure to cost a lot more than some of the alternatives.  Bed risers are a common alternative to an entire frame.  The average bed frame has about 7" clearance from the floor.  Using risers can easily give you anywhere from an additional few inches up to double the clearance normal clearance.  

Getting a frame with 10", 12", or 14" clearance from the floor is sure to give you ample space for storage.  With options that sit 14" off the floor you will have a place for those bulky suitcases, workout equipment, seasonal clothing, shoes, holiday decorations, family photo albums, toys, or whatever else you need to store out of sight.   

On the style side, a tall platform bed could give you even more options.   With this type of bed you would have the sleek style of a platform bed and with drawers on either side you would have ample storage space for clothing or anything else that would fit in large drawers. Or you could just go with the style of a tall platform bed and no storage.  Although style is a factor, the benefit of storage space under a tall bed frame is very hard to overlook, and with double the clearance you could almost fit the Christmas tree under the bed when you are done with it.
